VPS with Google Cloud 2023
Google is one of the tech giants that is installing a large cloud-based infrastructure called Google cloud platform (PGP).
Thanks to its performance, scalability and competitive prices, large prominent companies are trusting in their services such as: Spotify, HSBC, Coca Cola, Ubisoft, Philips, etc.
Among the different services offered by the Google cloud are listed Google cloud platform compute engine (GCE) that allows creating virtual servers.
In the same way as the Amazon VPS article comments, these virtual servers are not the same as a VPS server. There are some differences, even for practical purposes that we consider equivalent.
$300 free balance
To open an account Google gives us $300 of free balance to help you choose your GCP services. In this case we will use it to create a free VPS.
You do not have a stamp on the card, this free balance is a way to use Google to promote yourself, you know that when you do, you will probably start hiring your services.
The free balance can be used for one year, and to obtain it, you simply have to go to the address https://cloud.google.com/ and sign in with your Google account.
We would like to enter our details, including credit card number. This information is needed to verify that there is no robot.
Create a VPS and GCloud server
Once registered we will take you to the Google Cloud Console https://console.cloud.google.com/home/.
The first place to create a new VPS or virtual cloud create a new project. To do this, we access the selector located at the top and select “New project”.
And then we enter a name for the project and give it a «Create» (we have put «Vpsgratis_online_tutorial»).
Our team dumped the project we were about to create into the upper drop-downs. We must select it to work on it.

Now let’s create a virtual VPS machine. On the left side we go to Compute Engine ⮞ VM Instances and press the «Create» button when we allow it.
The next step is to configure them. characteristics of our virtual machine. Depending on the chosen recurrences, this land is a major or minor coast. Since we have $300 free balance per year, we need to configure the virtual VPS server so as not to run out of this balance in 1 year.
On the right side is shows an estimate of the costsThus you can play with the settings to adjust your need and available free balance. For example, you can create one more powerful virtual machine or have several less powerful ones.
We chose a machine that costs $14.90 a month ($178 a year or so). Specifically, a «small» 1 CPU, 1.7 GB RAM instance is deployed in the Netherlands (europe-west4) with Debian GNU/Linux 9 and allows HTTP and HTTPS traffic.

After the machine is created, we can see the external and internal IP address in the panel. The external IP address (from which we access) is dynamic, it is decided, it will change if we hold down and turn on the machine. We ask that we not change book an ecstatic address However, you must take into account that this service has an additional cost.

Connect to a VPS server
From the Google Cloud Engine console we have access to the virtual machine terminal (see image).

If we will open a new ventilation in the browser with the control console of the VPS.

Other connection methods use an external SSH client like Putty. you can follow this is a tutorial stop it
Unsubscribe from Google Cloud services to complete the trial period
Google does not guarantee that there will be no charges after the free trial period. Here we also realized that maintenance services only remain before the completion of the verification period if you do not need to continue using them.
In the Google Cloud panel ⮞ Billing ⮞ Overview we can see the projects that we keep associated and access them to delete them.
Our version of Google Cloud Platform
Currently, 70% of networks are already hosted in the cloud and if we anticipate this trend, we will continue to increase it in the coming years. This is because the cloud currently offers the best technology.
Among the different hosting systems out there: shared hosting, VPS, cloud computing, Google shares everything with Google Cloud. Yes, Google has the largest fiber optic data system and the best data centers.
We tested the Compute Engine service to create virtual servers we have been delighted. We have also done tests with other services such as APIs, databases, obtaining very good results.
son of a mulberry We recommend Google services for our projects; it is a safe value. But how Experience is the mother of scienceThe best you can do is try it yourself and for the free balance of $300 Google gives us free money.
